Queen’s College students today used their lunch period to protest the construction of a canteen which will cover a section of the land presently used for agriculture at the School. One student holds a placard declaring `Our SBA’s Matter’. The plot of land affected by the construction is used for both cultivation and poultry rearing which are part of the requirements for the subject’s School Based Assessment.

Give the PNC Gold and in less than 2 years it will turn to SHIT!!!!
Glad to see that the next generation of Guyanese aren't as docile or as self serving as their parents.
Students were always agitators since I was in school. The problem, the PNC would bring in armed police! Anyway, this is a PNC crowd, I don't think armed police will be brought in!
Good observation, the slave-like PNC supporters should take Lessons!!!
It is to be noted that in the Jagdeo era they were too scared to protest. Had they done so Jagdeo's Phantoms would have assaulted them on the way home from school, or harassed their parents.
Today's Guyana they have no such fear.

Caribj, as a man who lived under Burnham, your arrogance is only trumped by your racism. You lived in Guyana but still prefer to remain abstract to the the Indian experience under that apartheid PNC regime! Listen banna, even under the PPP Indians lived in fear of PNC sponsored Afro-terrorists.
Listen, I understand few Blacks feel deprived under the PPP, but you also felt you and Blacks were deprived under the PNC. So you blaming the PPP for things that even your PNC never was able to deliver. Maybe, just maybe, the problem lies somewhere else!
BaseMENT the treatment that blacks suffered under Jagdeo was every bit as brutal as that which the Indians suffered under Burnham.
In fact I am of the opinion that blacks might have suffered MORE under Burnham than did Indians, because they were more dependent on his patronage, and therefore less able to resist when his brutish tendencies became evident. Burnham also set out to destroy any attempt by blacks to be economically independent of him.
It is the incompetence of the Burnham regime, and the rise of the black market that allowed the development of much of the Indo business class we see today. Before Burnham destroyed the business class in Guyana it was mainly Portuguese.
Indians had NO economic nor social standing in G/T in the early 60s. They were the starving skeletons who walked from house to house begging for grass to feed their cows.
When you admit that blacks suffered under the PPP in the SAME ways as Indians did under Burnham than I will stop grinding your face in the fact that the PPP and Indians are every bit as guilty for our racial problems as are blacks and the PNC.
Until I stop posting on GNI I will NOT allow you to spread the propaganda that Indians and the PPP are innocent parties when it comes to this!
Caribj, I see you getting flustered as you cannot handle the truth. Now, why the hell did you run away from you Afro-centric PNC apartheid to come to the land of the "Rednecks"! What happen, Burnham could no longer deliver the free goods?
I see some signs there saying ..Not my President
I live in NYC. Far, far away from rednecks. I live in a city which has the LARGEST concentration of Caribbean people any where in the world.
It is also the largest concentration of blacks of any city outside of Africa. You can pick any corner of Brooklyn which has more blacks than all of Guyana.
I have already told you of my opinion of Forbes Burnham. The fact that you think so highly of that criminal Bharat Jagdeo just shows how trapped by race you are!

Right, and they supporting the "Rednecks" in the rest of America, LOL. It's great to see the White man took his country back!!
Listen to this RACIST DOG. GT people used to BEG, collect Garbage, eat SHIT while the Rural population were throwing away food.!!!
Burnham had them eating their own SHIT and drinking their PISS. You should see many GT people morning looking for cigarette Butts on the ground to smoke and for someone to throw away piece Dhal Puri of left lil coffee in their Mug.
That 'Agriculture class' was a waste of time for me when I was there, I hated it. How material is 2 fowls and 2 Boulanger that they produce? Who da rass can that feed? And yeah, how many kids care to learn how to clean a stinky chicken, u smell stinky after that class period and then you have to go back to class.
There are much more important issues in the Education system rather than this!!
Alena given that agriculture is important to Guyana why is it so wrong for the kids to be involved in it. And clearly they are interested, otherwise they would be glad that their land was taken away.
Guyana can benefit when educated people begin to farm scientifically. At the very least an appreciation for it can be developed at QC so that some might pursue further study in agriculture. They will not do this if the belief that education is an escape from farming remains.
Baseman do you really think that you are white? Do you really think that white supremacists accept you as one of them?
Must be given your glee that the KKK and the Nazis are happy to see Trump, because they feel that they can influence policy at the Federal level. Something which they haven't been able to do for almost 100 years!

If you had seen the two fowl and the two Boulanger that the class had you and all would feel sorry for the QC agriculture program. Let me put it this way, these students were not made to be the picking fowl type. They made better lawyers like Manickchand and Nandlall. Guyana School of Agriculture minted out the fowl pickers.
Bibi, some people will always yearn for filth and destruction. It is the Intro Class at sophia University!!!!

One day you will realize that if every one became a lawyer, and none entered the productive sectors, that even the lawyers would starve.
