I miss my hometown.  Would love to see Rockaway Beach, maybe I'll go in the summer.

Great Night Spots by the water Front. Dancing, great food, wonderful view of Manhattan.  Hookers on Vernon Blvd.  Take your pick.

I agree, Mitwah. Not too many Guyanese knows about draft beer. Now, that doesn't mean I will allow you to talk down Guyanese rum shops.

Yes I do. Draft Beers galore. A friend of mine got into a fight with an Irish Guy there.

Iman drank draft beer back in the seventies...known bout it since then.

I once had three scraps out of four bars in one night many moons ago.Did good the first two, third received a fat lip.

First was against two guys in Da Zanzibar where the girls were on swings...naked as the band played, yessss.The guys were picking on an elderly dude..cain stepped in,,BADDAM they stopped.also with the help of the bouncer.

Second bar, bouncer tried to stop me from entering jus because he felt like being at the other end of a boot.

Third, on the way out the door to get into a shindig, the guy turned and sucker punched me in the yapper, he winded up with a shiner along with probably a sore ass next day after he landed heavily on the sidewalk.

Come to think of it, that was a good night.

Zanzi is a landmark but diamonds is part Guyanese owned and a much much much better experience. 

Don't know much of Diamonds, but the Bermuda Tavern was next door to the Zanzi, that was scrap #2, hehe  My hangout was also Yonge Station which I believe became the Brass rail, I then moved to the Running Pump, a wild biker bar with peelers doing their dancing, out in the boonies.

SO...Cain..like yuh was ah badass

For those looking for some good Guyanese food, the Nest is pretty good, I venture out there once in a while. Fried banga mary rocks!
