This is hugely disappointing to many people who now consider the APNU and the AFC to be eunuchs.  This will be an issue which the coalition will have to confront, and there are ways that it can do so, beyond hysterical rants of "di PPP baad".

I think Granger has already begun to address this issue in terms of discussing how state entities can be made to be more transparent, to reduce the likelihood of major corruption, or cooptation by powerful interests.

your 1st two paragraphs (in any common sense context) are simply stupid! . . . nothing more to be said

Stuck on the mud as usual.

Its a good thing that you don't run the APNU AFC campaign as they would surely lose.

Many Guyanese have stated their disappointment that, despite controlling parliament, PPP abuse, corruption and criminality continue.  If you think that this doesn't impact their perception of the opposition, even as PPP misbehavior impacts their image, you dream.

Note that the black "race vote" will show up.  And as usual will vote PNC.  Will other anti PPP elements bother if they don't think that the opposition is effective?

The "race voters" will vote.  The PPP has more of them than does the PNC and the AFC.  Its the fence sitters and the disgusted who have to be encouraged to vote for the coalition.

And don't bray about the AFC constituency.  You have no proof that it exists.  The AFC lost 5k votes (or 30% of its votes) in Regions 4 and 10, and this was offset by 11k increase in votes in Regions 5 and 6.  Clearly there was a shift in the support which is received.

Had there not been a sharp increase in support from regions where Nagamootoo is well known (Regions 5 and 6) the AFC would have received FEWER votes in 2011.

So it does appear as if the AFC is more a vessel for where the "disgusted" deposit their votes, with the composition of this pool being quite fluid.  It is the AFC, even more than the other two, which needs to target the fence sitters and the disgusted, as those who are neither will vote PPP or PNC as they virtually always do, since the late 1950s.

Now you can respond in your usual hysterical stuck in the mud rant, or you can provide specific evidence to prove that I am wrong.
