According to reliable sources, a niece of former President David Granger is employed as a senior functionary with the State-owned company. This newspaper was told that the current employment of Marketing Manager Jacqueline James is also raising eyebrows. James is the wife of outgoing Police Commissioner Leslie James, who was appointed by the former President in 2018, and was sent on 306 days of accumulated, pre-retirement leave on August 2, 2020. He is scheduled to reach the age of retirement in April 2021.

The good thing is that they will all be purged now. Maybe the Granger administration should have spent the past 5 years working to gain the confidence of the electorate rather than focusing primarily on attempting to rig the elections.

There are some brazen people on this forum who accused the PPP of nepotism because some old stalwarts were appointed in the Government. I challenge them to speak out against the Previous government's nepotism.
