“When the sugar sector decision was made to close estates and factories and merge some of them, it was primarily the AFC who was a big part of that decision,” Ramjattan said during a Globespan 24×7 programme on Wednesday.
In 2016, the Government announced the closure of the first sugar estate located at Wales on the West Bank of Demerara (WBD).

I don't believe Ramjattan. I think he is saying this because the PNC commanded him to do so. The PNC took away all rights from the AFC on May 12, 2015. This is very clear from his comment below.
“So, it was not a PNC decision that we were forced to accept,” Ramjattan contended.
“Myself, Mr [Prime Minister Moses] Nagamootoo, and a whole host of other AFC members were part of that decision,” the AFC Leader declared.
I think the AFC goose is cooked. He also said they will win 12 seats in 2020. He might as well say they're now legally married to the PNC.
Prior to the AFC coalescing with the PNC, they used to make intelligent statements. Since their coalition all their statements sound silly and nonsensical suggesting that they are just parroting what the PNC is dictating for them to say.
