Meadowbrook man gunned down in home during robbery

Police investigators are probing the death of a 27-year-old man from the Meadowbrook area who was gunned down in his house just after returning home last evening after a night out with his girlfriend.

Investigators believe the young man who was a licensed firearm holder, may have come face to face with robbers just after he returned home. Investigators believe also that he may have attempted to use his weapon but was shot to the chest before he got that chance.

Devastated family members and friends gathered at the house this morning as they comforted each other.

Ramjattan needs to set up and put forward a crime fighting policy. It is a bit too early to attack him with less than 100 days in office.

Tell that to the family of Mr Cort. Think that will console them? The government neds to act now before the situation spirals out of control. As it is now, it is bad. What is the plan and when are they going to implement it? Or was it just empty talk?

Ramjattan needs to put some plans in place, like rite now. Too many gun related crimes. I do understand that this is an uphill battle, but I wouldn't like to see him turn out to be like that other guy.
