Are you kidding me? Teddy Roosevelt would not have been as nice as Trump. He was the man who fought the Spanish American War that took the super power from Spain and gave it to America. He was a patriot to the bone. Terrorism would have been non-existent in America today if he was President.
Come on, Bibi, I expect better. This is a puerile form of argument, cannot be proven. Wild guesses!
I try to stay away from stupidity...even though we have a very stupid President with ah bunch of ignorant followers

Excellent observation Bibi. So why don't you feel as obligated to pave the way for others just like those who paved the way for you.
Trump,s people not into paving....only demolition.
Bibi Haniffa posted:You don't give the enemy the upper hand. They had it for too long. Trump struck while the iron was hot. No one saw it coming. This should have been done a long time ago and many innocent lives would have been saved from terrorism.
So how are we going to deal with that top line Bibi? How do we save lives there. Ban anyone who owns a gun?
Bibi Haniffa posted:Gilbakka posted: Come on, Bibi. Dish out some ALTERNATIVE FACTS to Ksazma. This is not my problem. Trump will give you all the answers soon.
Trump? He's on a downward-sloping presidential learning curve. But blissfully carrying on smartly.
yall taxing Bibi brain
Bibi I a really disappointed that you don't have any opinion on my question above regarding the even clearer and more present danger of gun violence than terrorism.
Refugees dont kill true. But they rape the economy at least quite a few of them do
Native born Americans take more advantage of the welfare system than refugees do...

Sorry to disappoint you. I honestly don't know much about the statistics of gun violence in America or anywhere else. I can only comment on what I know. But are we talking about gun violence or the ban on refugees?

This is their country. Do you prefer they pass on the welfare system and leave the benefits for refugees? Some of these refugees don't work a day here and get full medical, housing and other benefits for the rest of their lives. And yes, some Guyanese do it too.

Kaz - why don't you think I am paving the way for others to follow? Me, my parents, and my siblings and our extended family live primarily in three countries - Canada, America, and Guyana. I was an educator in Guyana and I have worked every single day of my life since I was 18 years old. I provide mentorship and financial donations to several Guyanese community groups including an orphanage in the neighborhood where I grew up.
My family in Guyana have served the government for three generations. One of my sisters in your state of Florida works for the Department of Education and helps to design the High School Math curriculum, pick the text books, and write the Math exams for the students.
We are paving the way, a little at a time. It may not be much, but we are trying.

I did not say they shouldn't, just responding to Amral who was making the point that refugees were raping the economy...

I am sorry Bibi. I misread your comment above.

We were talking about the safety of Americans. Gun violence will kill them faster than terrorists will.
You are probably right. I don't know. In the meantime, we should allow the President of the United States to do his job. Terrorism is real. Many previous administrations in the US have taken similar steps before and no one said a word. Let us take religion and emotion out of this decision-making. This list was determined by the Department of Homeland Security under the Obama administration.
You are one of the brightest and most objective guys on this forum. I have watched you stay out of the hate mongering and lies pushed by others. So I do respect what you are saying.
How can someone arguing about violence and terror in America not know about gun violence and the amount of people killed by gun violence??
RiffRaff posted:How can someone arguing about violence and terror in America not know about gun violence and the amount of people killed by gun violence??
I don't have much interest in gun violence because I don't think I can make a difference. I am sure I can do research and answer lots of the questions if I want.
My participation on this thread is because I am very concerned by the hatred spread in our community that Trump is banning Muslims. We have to be careful. Those countries are primarily Muslim populated, but as Guyanese we always have to twist the story lil bit to achieve unintended consequences. We are spreading a lot of unnecessary fear especially among the elderly, uneducated, and misinformed.
What are you saying then...as Guyanese we should not be concerned about Trump banning people?
That's the problem with some Guyanese thinking, they don't want to get involved, they are all about themselves...no wonder Burnham, and now Granger have the upper hand
Life and death are sacred to all of us. Killers do not discriminate. To defend anyone unknowingly of his intention is like plunging in dangerous waters blindfolded.
