Regal Sports of 69 Seaforth Street, Campbellville has supported U15 cricketer Ricardo Ramdial who has been selected to represent Guyana at the upcoming regional U15 tournament slated from July 24-August 3 in Barbados.
Mario Allicock of Regal Sports presented a quantity of cricket gears to the young cricketer at a simple ceremony held Monday at their office. Allicock said they are impressed with the young cricketer and are happy to support him adding that it is their way of giving back to the community especially through sports. He stated that they will monitor his progress from time to time and continue to offer support. Ramdial, who represented Berbice in the Guyana Cricket Board inter county U15 tournament, expressed delight at the gesture and thanked the entity for their backing. He promised to remain committed and vowed to do his best on tour. Regal Sports is an associate of Regal Stationery and Computer Centre and sells various sports equipment including football, boxing, chess, basketball, tennis and cricket gear. Meanwhile, Regal Open and Mastersβ teams will journey to New York in July to defend their New York Softball Cricket League Independence Cup Masters and All Stars titles. Regal are also the defending champions of the Florida Cup Masters and Open tournament.
