The Government as part of its effort to ensure the passage of the Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) Bill, has plans to hold several Town Hall type public meetings across the country in an effort to engage stakeholders. With the threat of financial blacklisting looming and its impending consequences you'd think that such a move would be welcomed by all - but no. APNU/PNC Region Ten Chairman Sharma Solomon is trying to deter residents of Linden at which the first such meeting is slated for at 5:30 pm today at the Watooka Club. A source from the mining community stated that Solomon has been telling persons that today's meeting is off as a means of ensuring sparse attendance. Threats and intimidation is also being used by APNU/PNC activists to deter attendees.

The residents of region 10 should let their voices be heard and not be allowed to be lead astray by the regional chairman, who appears to be using his office to play partisan politics.

From whom you learn to lie like that? Is this an ingrained trait?
