The brotherhood remains as strong as ever. Ever since the PPP took over the leadership of Guyana, India has been solid in her support of the fast growing South American country.

NEWS: India Increases Number Of Scholarships To Guyanese

GUYANA’S young professionals continue to benefit from the country’s more than 48 years of good relationship with the Government of India as the latter has doubled the number of scholarships being offered for undergraduate, post graduate and doctoral studies in Universities and Institutions in India.

A press release issued by the Indian High Commissioner stated that instead of the usual four scholarships, for the academic year 2013-2014, nine are being offered for studies excluding medicine and dentistry. The increase for the current academic year is due to the large number of applications that the Commission has been receiving, the release stated.

The scholarship will be administered by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) under the Government of India’s Commonwealth Scholarship Scheme that encompasses the provision of the awardees with airfare to India. It also covers tuition fee, and stipend, contingent grant, accommodation, and thesis and desertion expenses.

Opposition politicians in parliament have expressed disgust at India's support for the PPP government.

AFC's vice chairman Moses Nagamootoo was heard whining, "hope my grandparents are born in another country in my next life. I cannot believe India would support the corrupt PPP"

You will wait until thy kingdom come for the Indian government's support.

Right now, the Indian government is very proud of the achievements they have seen in Guyana under the PPP.

Don't visit Celina's bai. With my name on a surveillance list, I am very conscious of what the good friend of President Putin is capable of doing.

They are proud of Corruption, bald-faced thievery, suppressing the poor, not worrying about what the rest of the world thinks? I can see that. India is full of corruption. Gotta be in their veins.

Do you recall the state of the Guyanese economy in the 1970s and 80s when the country was ruled by your heroes in the PNC ?

The Rev will remind you! In the 1970s and 80s Guyana was broke, impoverished, unable to pay its debts--it was decrepit and bankrupt!

Listen! PPP politicians have enriched themselves---go and check out Pradoville 1 & 2---the PPP boys have filled their pockets.

BUT GUYANA HAS PROGRESSED UNDER THE PPP---BUSINESS IS BOOMING IN GUYANA!

The AFC/PNC coalition in parliament is doing a good job controlling the wayward spending by the PPP---that's good for the Guyanese people.

BUT NEVER FORGET THE 1970s and 1980s----Guyana was in a state of ruins---today, under the PPP, Guyana is prospering.

When is the last time you visited Guyana ?

Go and visit the old country---open your eyes and mind---you will see the progress I'm talking about.

Rev
