OK Folks!

He is the greatest Indian batsman ever and one of the greatest batsmen to have played the game of cricket.

Earlier today the great Sachin Tendulkar scored his 100th International hundred in cricket against Bangladesh---he now has 51 test hundreds and 49 oneday hundreds.

IT TOOK HIM A YEAR TO MOVE FROM 99 TO 100 INTERNATIONAL HUNDREDS---BUT SACHIN PERSEVERED AND FINALLY ARRIVED AT THE REMARKABLE MILESTONE.

RE: SACHIN TENDULKAR AND BRIAN LARA

In the last 30 years the world has seen 2 great batsmen---Brian Lara and Sachin Tendulkar.

Lara was the more dominant of the two---more aggressive--he also had a penchant for big scores(400*, 375, 277) and was a greater joy to watch---but Sachin was the more prolific scorer---to date Sachin has scored 15470 runs in tests and over 18,000 runs in onedayers---and now has 100 international hundreds.

CONGRATS TO THE GREAT AND PROLIFIC SACHIN TENDULKAR ON SCORING HIS 100TH HUNDRED--A REMARKABLE FEAT, INDEED.

Now that Sachin Tendulkar has achieved his 100th International hundred, will he choose to join Rahul Dravid in retirement or will he just keep adding to his illustrious records ?

The Rev believes that as long as Sachin is passionate and enthusiastic about the game and as long as he continues to score heavily he should keep playing.

RE: TENDULKAR'S LAST 5 TEST SERIES---his batting average

35.88 vs Australia(most recent series)

43.60 vs West Indies

34.13 vs England

81.50 vs South Africa

31.50 vs New Zealand

Tendulkar has been below average(by his standards) in 4 of his last 5 test series----he may need to take a close look at retirement.
