– Proud of its Cricket Development Programme

The Management and Members of the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club, MS, would like to congratulate all of its members who are preparing to represent Guyana or are doing so currently. As a Cricket Club, the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club prides itself on a platform of excellence, ability to win tournaments at all levels and our production of cricketers for Berbice, Guyana and the West Indies.
Founded just twenty seven years ago, the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club has produced sixteen senior national, fifty two junior national cricketers, over 100 for Berbice and five for the West Indies at all levels. Seven of our female cricketers, Plaffiana Millington, Sheneeta Grimmond, Rushanna Lynch, Mariam Samaroo, Shabika Gajnabi, Aleema Arokium and Una Matadin have all made us proud by gaining selection on the Guyana National Under-19 Female Team to play in Trinidad. The girls are all members of the Rose Hall Town Metro Team – the only female cricket team in Guyana. Additionally, three of our junior cricketers – Sylus Tyndall, Kevin Sinclair and Kevin Anderson are currently representing Guyana at the Under-19 level, while Anderson along with Junior Sinclair recently returned after representing our country at the Under-17 West Indies Tournament.
The Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club is very proud of each one of our members and even prouder of our internal cricket programmes which allow each of our members to excel and to fulfill their true potential. As a Cricket Club, we strongly believe in investing in our members’ development on and off the cricket field and in also creating a friendly environment which allows them to strive. A perfect example of rapid development is Ms. Uma Matadin who joined the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club, MS, less than a year ago and is now on the verge of being a national player. Best wishes are also extended to Assad Fudadin and Esuan Crandon (Asst Coach) as they start the campaign to win the 2017 Caribbean Premier League. It must be remembered that Eon Hooper, Clinton Pestano, Shemaine Campbelle, Erva Giddings, Melanie Henry and Fudadin all represented Guyana this year. We would like to express gratitude to all of our official cricket sponsors who continue to invest heavily into our players and are responsible for our unbelievable success. Bakewell, Farfan & Mendes Ltd, Gizmos & Gadgets, Metro Office Supplies and Pepsi are the foundation of these players’ successes and we look forward to unearthing more talent in the future with their support.
We would like to remind each of our members of our simple formula for success – “sheer hard work, faith in the God we serve, dedication, team unity and belief in ourselves. We wish each of our members and the rest of the Guyana team success. We at the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club are very proud of our players, coaching staff and dedicated Executives and it is very heartening for us as we prove to others that this club would continue to be the best in Guyana. After all, only recently we were described as a Charity Organisation by the Guyana Cricket Board.
