Thanks for posting the fight. First time I have seen it. A great boxer and person!
Those 3 years that were lost were prime years
I love that ALi shuffle
He couldn't last three rounds with Tyson.

Tyson would not be able to touch Ali in his prime...he was a bull rusher, Ali would just dance out of his way and pepper him wid licks

If Norton beat him up, Tyson would have knocked Ali out cold. Cooper almost knocked out Ali and they cheated Cooper. Read the story.
Tyson is the GOAT.

Actually, I don't like when people say that someone is the GOAT. There is no way to prove this and it's just too subjective. I prefer to say that Ali was one of the best.

No one knows for sure. It is possible that Tyson would knock him out in the first round. Ali was one of the best as was Tyson, Foreman, Marciano, Holmes, among others.

Not even Rohee?
Muhammed Ali got some beautiful daughters. They looked like models at his funeral.

Tyson was a great fighter, with some of the fastest, most devastating puncher's hands in the fight game
but the 'prime' Ali, prior to his 3 and a half year imposed layoff would have kept Tyson at distance in the middle of the ring with his left jab and knocked him out in the later rounds
Buster Douglas showed how a bigger more powerful boxer with an articulate left jab could discombobulate Iron Mike
can u imagine what Ali, with the best footwork ever in boxing would do to him?
It is very difficult to box today like how Ali used to box.
The greatest kept his hands down and used his body to absorb punches to wear down boxers. Today's heavyweight boxers are taller and heavier. This makes them punch with much more power.

After all, Ali did say that he was pretty. I do agree that he has beautiful kids. Most of the ones you may be referring to are children of his Hollywood actress wife.
But even better than he had good looking kids is that they are wholesome kids.
Yes. They are all good kids
The greatest must have been very proud of his children.
He taught them good Islamic values and it shows how good they are.

And he did so without adhering to extreme beliefs and practices. The pronouncements which Ali made as a young man were at times regarded as harsh, even racists and those of a angry young black man. Over time, they became regarded of his viewpoint and meant no harm to others. He did all his hurting in the boxing ring.
About him being proud of his kids, I am sure his kids are extremely proud of him as we all are.
Like he said, "I said I was the greatest even before I was".

Pure speculation. There is no way to conclude that Douglas beat Tyson therefore Ali would have beaten him. First of all, the 'prime' pre-layoff Ali was a much smaller and lighter fighter than Douglas. Ali started out as basically a light heavyweight, the division in which he won the gold medal at the Olympics. He fought at the most 205-210 lbs during his early career. Buster Douglas was a big 230 lbs when he fought Tyson. If I want to speculate, there are many wild scenarios I can come up with to justify Tyson beating Ali but coming to these conclusions using fighters from two different eras is a foolish exercise. Ali then Cassius Clay was floored by a nobody named Sonny Banks. Henry Cooper knocked out Ali at the end of a round but he was saved by the bell. Between rounds, Ali's trainer Angelo Dundee tore open a rip in Ali's glove and notified the referee that Ali's glove was ripped. While changing his glove, this bought time for Ali to recover and he eventually knocked out Cooper. If those two boxers knocked down Ali, can you imagine what Tyson, rated by ESPN as the hardest puncher ever, would do to Ali? Tyson was a very accurate puncher too, not a wild slugger like Foreman. Norton and Frazier beat Ali while he was still at the top of his game. Holmes and Berbick, both whopped by Tyson, beat up Ali while he was an older fighter. Holmes and Berbick were bigger fighters who mastered the left jab. Using speculation like you did, one can easily conclude that Tyson would have beaten Ali if all those other fighters whopped up on him. However, comparing sportsmen from different eras to define the GOAT is an exercise in futility. There is no way to prove that one is better than the other and it is purely subjective. I prefer to say that Ali was one of the greatest heavyweight boxers as was Tyson, Holmes, Marciano, Frazier, among others.

This is the kind of traps that sports hacks are constantly caught in just like the most recent about LeBron and Michael or more recent, LeBron and Steph. As far as I can see, LeBron is only somewhat responsible for the 2011 Finals loss. During the others, others did not show up like how JR isn't showing up now although they don't have anyone outside of LeBron that they can count on.
What we do know is that there was a certain charm to Ali which perhaps gave him as much mileage as his fights. Tyson was brutal. There came a time before Tyson's rape trial that fans were beginning to feel robbed because they were paying a lot of money for the fight and by the time the fight begun Tyson would have knocked out his opponent.
I don't know why it is not enough to appreciate them all for who they are instead of who they compare to.
Larry Holmes who fought Tyson said he did not have the punching hardness of Earnie Shavers. But he was much sharper as a puncher then Earnie. Ali would have easily beaten Tyson. In boxing a good boxer will always defeat a good fighter. Tyson was a good fighter but I would not rate him a better fighter than Smoking Joe.
