Andrew Samaroo and Pradesh Balkishun shared 10 wickets between them to propel East Coast Demerara to a 76-run victory over West Demerara, while half centuries by Sachin Singh and Alphius Bookie guided Georgetown to a 152-run win over East Bank Demerara when the Inter Association U17 50-over tournament continued in Demerara yesterday. At Ogle, Samaroo finished with 6-24, while Pradesh Balkishun had 4-2 as West Demerara were skittled for 53 in 11 overs chasing 129. Kevin Christian and Dextroy Hyman made 19 each with the former hitting three fours and the latter one four and a six. Earlier, East Coast Demerara were bowled out for 129 in 39.1 overs, batting first. Robin Williams and Tameshwar Permaul added 58 for the opening stand before Permaul was dismissed for 20. Williams hit five fours and one six in a top score of 39, but apart from him, only Tyrone Bygne offered resistance with 30 (2Ã4,1Ã6). Andre Seepersaud bagged 5-26 and Aftab Bashu 2-12. At Everest, Sachin Singh slammed 89 and Alphius Bookie struck 58 as Georgetown posted 247-5, taking first strike. Jeremiah Scott took two wickets.
