SARU meets with Harmon

- provides progress report

Minister of State Joseph Harmon met with the members of the State Asset Recovery Unit (SARU) Monday, where they provided the Minister with a report on all matters attracting the attention of SARU.

A release from Harmon’s office noted that they discussed challenges, progress was measured and plans/strategies were devised on the way forward.

According to the release, Head of SARU, Professor Clive Thomas advised on the progress made as it relates to the laying of the State Asset Recovery Agency Bill 2016 in the National Assembly.

“The members of the unit pledged their support and commitment towards achieving the unit’s mandate,” the release noted.

Minister Harmon reminded the members of their tasks and responsibilities and urged all to stay focused.

Also of note, Harmon is unruffled about the past issues aired about his travels, etc., and in full control.

My guess is they will try and focus on "PPP corruption" to deflect attention from the Harmon issue.
