FLIGHT WAS ON SATURDAY MORNING AT 6.00 AM STOPPING AT T&T: AND THIS LADY WHO WAS ACTING OR WAS A CUSTOMS OFFICER. WAS INTENT OF GIVING A FAMILY OF MINE A HARD TIME: I THINK THAT BECAUSE MY FAMILY WAS INDIAN, THIS CUSTOM LADY KEPT HER IN THE LINE WAITING AND WAITING AND WAITING, WHILST ALL AFRICAN PASSENGERS WERE ALLOWED TO PASS CUSTOMS AND BOARD WITHOUT A GLITCH: EVENTUALLY SHE OPTED TO SEARCH HER LUGGAGE AND SHE DID A GOOD JOB OF RAMSACKING IT. THE CUSTOMS OFFICER DID NOT FIND ANYTHING THAT SHE WAS LOOKING FOR BUT SHE WAS ADAMANT.....(WANTED A BRIBE) I CANNOT SAY FOR SURE IF A BRIBE WAS GIVEN TO HER, BUT IT WOULD SEEMS SO:

MY FAMILY FINALLY FINISHED WENT TO PLASTIC WRAP HER SUITCASES, MONEY WAS GIVEN TO THE GUY WHO PLASTIC WRAP THE SUITCASE AND (MAYBE) FOR THE CUSTOM OFFICER; AFTER FINISHED WRAPPING THE SUITCASES, THE GUY COLLECTED THE MONEY AND THEN LEAVE HIS AREA AND WENT INTO A ROOM WHERE I THINK THAT THE MONEY WAS GIVEN TO THE LADY CUSTOM OFFICER BY THE SHRINK WRAP GUY.

SHAME ON THE GOVERNMENT OF GUYANA FOR AFTER ALL THESE DONKEY YEARS CANNOT RUN AN AIRPORT AS HOW IT SHOULD RUN,

And you will need an undercover operation to investigate the undercover operation as they will find a way to get bribes from those they are investigating.  I tell you it is a disease supported by all involved. The solution is evasive as it requires cooperation from the ones paying the bribes. If ASJ bribe paying family had stood her ground and created a stink no bribery would have passed. The complacency to bribery is the biggest issue. 

I do not agree that it cannot be done. However, if FOOLS continue to pay Bribes and not stand up for their Rights, it will make it more difficult.

Bribery is wrong and it should be stopped, but as we know you can't legislate morality. So we have to go on an aggressive campaign to stop it.
