No acknowledgement of the racial orientation of the PPP campaign, which aimed to maximize the Indian turnout, and which also boosted the African/mixed turn out AGAINST the PPP.

Let the PPP continue to fool itself that the "working class" are of only one ethnicity.  In fact it was the urban poor who turned up in much larger numbers than they have since 2001, and in Linden, they did so in RECORD numbers, even as the population of that town has declined.

He has a point. The PPP was vile. It hid behind the veil of agents spreading some nasty memes. Rahamarak assault on Moses was truly vile and makes no sense except to fanatics. We are a democracy and democracies are about managing pluralities and negotiating group spaces of all sorts. That could only be facilitated by positions that meets the basic needs of all. It is not to be directed to specific needs as many in the indo fanatic space wants us to believe.

Odeen Ishmael enjoyed the soup as Ambassador, never did anything for Indos, bent over backwards for blacks, now he's badmouthing the PPP. He used Guyana's money to make he and his family rich and famous. He can't get the PPP soup anymore, he's probably hoping for some PNC soup now.

I understand he made Jagdeo the way he is. He approved the scholarship for the man to go Patrice Lumumba University. If he had sent him to the West, the man would turn out a better person.

Maybe Odeen is planning to settle down in Guyana and enjoy his retirement.

Baser, lots of the APNU/AFC folks are disenchanted former PPPites but Odeen seems to be staunchly PPP. Maybe he or his son will head up the new revitalized PPP! We just have to wait and see.
