And according to the Chief Planning Officer of the Ministry of Education in a report to UNESCO, the situation is much worse, particularly in primary and secondary schools in hinterland areas like Region 1 (North West) and Region 9 (Rupununi), where rates are more than tripled.

PPP not telling Rupununi this 27 percent of the student sin Rupununi dropping our of PRIMARY school.
