Drought conditions are not only in Guyana.

It is projected that there will be world-wide drought conditions with some countries already experiencing the conditions.

In this part of Canada where I live, it can be as cold as minus 40's-C and minus 50's-C; but the forecast is that conditions would be about minus 12 to 15 for this year; with quite an early spring.

At the moment, conditions here are much warmer than in the past years.

Most AFC/PNC supporters on GNI who never set foot in a rice filed underestimate the importance of rain for rice and cane farming.

This is very, very bad news for the economy.

I see its not natural weather phenomenon or global climate change, but the PNC.

Explain why the rest of the Caribbean, has or until recently had, a severe drought.  PNC to blame too?

The people in Puerto Rico must be really upset that Granger has them down to bathing only 3 days a week in certain parts of that island.

Global climate change. ALL the fault of the PNC.

Thank you, sir.

There's no need for kp to politicize the current drought in Guyana.

Show us the evidence, quote the posts of "AFC/PNC supporters on GNI who never set foot in a rice field."

BTW, yuji, did you know that rain is important for:

[1] filling the Lamaha Canal, the main source of drinking water for the AFC/PNC stronghold in Georgetown?

[2] filling all those big black overhead tanks that people all over the coastland were forced to install during the PPP regime so that they could get rain water to cook and bathe?

If it were not so serious, I would have had a laugh on this Sunday morning. Place hot and dry. Starting to worry about its effects on people and crops. major grass fires on the East Coaxt yesterday, one just spitting distance from where I live. All the fire trucks were out fighting fires. They had difficulty in my area because there was no water in the trench. On Thursday and and most of Friday, there was no water from the well. We are all hoping for a few days of rain.
