Prince Charles, Prince of Wales and Camilla Parker Bowles, Duchess of Cornwall, were in India for the last leg of the Commonwealth Tour. Needless to say, the who’s who of Delhi played the perfect host to the Royals.
Also present at the British High Commission was none other than Shilpa Shetty, who was the only Bollywood celeb at the event. The actress works extensively with British Asian Trust and was attending the event to discuss prospects about better cultural ties between the two countries.
The actress was seen having a good time interacting with the royals during the event. She was keen on sharing her experience and shared with a leading daily,” It was wonderful to see his (Prince Charles) enthusiasm and love for India. We spoke at length on yoga and how we could popularize itin the UK. Prince Charles also spoke about extending support to my foundation that champions the cause of girl child education. He was so encouraging of the initiative”.

Well, looks like the Royals aren’t just fascinated by India, but also about yoga which is a part of its rich cultural heritage. Before concluding their much talked about the tour, Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Their two-day trip to the country included paying a visit to Amar Jawan Jyoti and a trip to see underprivileged school children.
