Chief I am so Proud of Skeldon Line Path Secondary. The Best, the Best.

I attended from 1978 - 1983.

This Secondary School has produced some outstanding students.

I led one of the first massive student protest against the Burnham government after they fired WPA teachers for speaking out against the PNC. All of the teachers were given their jobs back after we protested.

Seeraj who taught English will confirm. He taught me English and was the best for teaching English back then.

Once again, congrats Skeldon Line Path Secondary, I am so proud and happy today.

Wpa people, Bonita do Harris and Ruben Gilbert were not transferred until late '79.  The protest begun in '76 so you cannot be the "first" to lead a revolt. It begun at Chandisingh with the removal of Chitram Singh and Chandisingh's son Rohan. Other schools joined in and Massive transfers began. SK Singh of Lower Corentyne and the Guy who replaced him,  were later transferred. I know both of them.  I returned home to from England where I did A levels and the street protest was raging. I even went   one day because all the schools were closed and lots of marching was going on. The following year when I went home to visit they were on the streets again.  Maybe that was when you were in the streets but the protests began in ,76. I remember that very well.

You think you know everything. Ask for Seeraj who taught English at Line Path and ask him about the Massive student protest in Skeldon against Burnham at Line Path Secondary.

Our first protest went from Line Path to the Rice Marketing board where it ended the first day. All schools in Corriverton joined the protest.

Get your facts straight.

It would help if you say what year your protest took place, yuji.

He said '78

I started Line Path high school in 1978. The protest took place in 1980.

Thank you.

Storm is talking about a different protest.

So you're the Berbice Mark Antony, eh?

The historical Mark Antony I know helped build the autocratic Roman Empire.

Gil

I have no desire in being a part of any political party. I still resent what Burnham and the PNC did to us.

We all made our political contributions to Guyana despite political affiliation. We should all have an annual summer get together and bury the hatchet and have a good time.

Gil on this BB made the biggest contribution to Guyana, today he hates me with a passion. I take it in strides.

Ow bai, me nah hate you. What I don't like are your lies and wild speculations and propensity to malign politicians for whom I have a high regard. I have nothing to gain by hating you. Rev is much worse than you but he and I get along fine. Ask him to share his secret.

Yugi busted for lying once again.

The man once claimed that he was on the front line protesting on the day when the ballot box martyrs were killed in 1973. Based on the age he claims to be, he could not have been older than 7 or 8 in 1973. Considering his wimpish behavior on GNI, not many people believe his boasts of fighting against the PNC.

Delusions of grandeur abound in his pea sized brain.

Mars

I said clearly that the GDF truck stopped infront of our house and kicked one of the PPP ballot box heroes to death.

I still remember him begging for water, as they kicked him to death.

I challenge you to post that I said that I was the front line.

So according to calculations I have 10 years on you.

You are a youngster.

Unfortunately Seeraj lost his wife due to his antics, heard the man is remarried.

Seeraj was the brightest teacher but could not control his desires and ended up separated from his wife and eventually remarried a younger woman who was apparently his student. Sad story.

I will be turning 50 in a couple of years. A lot younger than most here.

We all have a lot in common and must not allow our politics to get in way.

There is no comparison between Line Path Secondary and QC. LPS is known for producing dunces like Yugi. QC is at the other end of the spectrum and has been churning out the top students year after year.

It was 1980. Gibran Dean (sadly passed away) from Corriverton was in my class was the Vice President and afraid to start a protest, In my Hot blood, I demanded that everyone leave the class in protest and little did I know that it would turn out into massive anti Burnham protest.

Seeraj Seepersaud was proud that his best students defended the WPA teachers.

The WPA attracted the brightest minds back then. Sadly, Rodney was killed by the PNC.

Yo Yugi which Gibran Deen? Was his mother a school teacher at Scots School. If is that Gibran, the man is alive and living right here in Long Island.

I visited the school once on a school tour but was in and around it a few other times. It always looked dull and dreary. I only went 2 years to highschool. My school was fine one year but they moved us to a swamp for my last year....not a nice experience.

Gibran Deen (Gibby), my classmate used to visit Canada and bought a house and boat here and hooked up with a Canadian girlfriend. He died suddenly about seven years ago. He used to live beside the goldsmith near Jamna workshop.

Gibby, was extremely rich. Their house was on the sea side over just at the entrance to the Kingston Road that took you to Back Centre.

Gibby and I were best friends.

There was Jamna workshop one house away from their's.

Their last name is correctly spelt Dean. Last time I spoke with Gibby was in 1996 during a visit to Guyana.

Chief,

Now you got me thinking. My cousin from Brampton told me that Gibran died seven years ago. I will strangle him if he gave me the wrong information.

Next time you meet Gibran, ask him if his best friend classmate from down the coast was a President of Line Path in 1982/83 when he attended school. If so, then I owe my best friend Gibby an apology.

Gibby has an adopted sister, Renuka whom they raised from very little, she now lives in Canada.

He will remember me right away if we are talking about the same Gibran (Gibby). Tell him President B (not Bharat). sends his regards.
