I am not a slave to any political party in Guyana. In fact I don't like anyone of them. That being said, I think that Solja Bai made a brilliant move by asking Jagdeo for the CVs of his nominees. He will undoubtedly pick Norman Mac Lean because Jagdeo will openly say glowing things about MacLean. He wouldn't include that Maclean:

• While he was in the Police Force used his position to get together with a man named RED LION from the East Coast to steal cars and strip the parts from them at Happy Acres and sell the parts as bribe from businessmen. He did this for many years and Burnham and Jagan knew about it and did nothing.

• The rigged 1985 elections in Guyana

  Dr. Jagan said in 1985 that Major General Norman McLean, the head of the security forces, had stated that the army had a "constitutional responsibility" to protect the ballot boxes and, thus, would not stay in barracks on election day. He saw his soldiers having a "geometric loyalty" to the PNC and his "comrade leader" Hoyte. In fact he help steal the elections for the PNC. ( Read the GNI webpage on the 1985 rigged elections)

• Norman MacLean used his position the Guyana People's Militia and the National Service to encourage others to rape many Indian girls who were serving there to fulfil requirement to attend UG. Some dissappeared.

• Norman McLean lied and covered up conveniently at the Walter Rodney Enquiry, saying he didn't know Burnham appointed him to Head the GDF, that he and Burham did not talk before the appointment. • Norman MacLean was forced out of the Guyana Gold and Diamond Miners Association after have been called a Double Agent and a Spy during Jagdeo's watch in 2010.
