I wouldn't say I am a religious person...I do want to know more though
Maybe I'll post some verses that I find illuminating (to me anyway), also post some questions for the more learned

If I can read it so do you. It gives me inspiration.
Prince, dem all tell the same story I heard.
I started to read the Koran about two years ago then I realized that lots of Jews and their stories are in the holy book. Then I think to myself Jews are doing pretty good financially. No disrespecting the Holy book. It is a great book about equality. Koolie man with some black and Chinese blood Prashad is now into VS Naipaul and Samuel Selvon books.

Found it difficult reading Naipaul, Selvon was easy read.
Seigy, really? I have not read anything more interesting, vivid and entertaining.

It's not that I was disinterested in his stories or writing style. I like when a novel brings me into the state of visualizing what's taking place and I am caught up in the moment that I almost know what is coming next. I like my reading to unfold as a great movie.
hey, yall hijacking my Quran thread

The other day you shared for listening some sufi reinditions. I posted a reindition as well, not sufi. I took note of the words of the female singer.
She said, speaking of God, "There are many wells that we drawn our water. Each community says their water is the sweetest. It is the same underground river that feed all wells."
Indeed Seignet
I want to understand my stream of water coming from this well...
Bai Ray, I commend you on taking time to read the Holy Quran. Any holy book is a good book. Take a few verses and implement it in your personal life and it will make a difference.
I like listening to the Arabic Qur'an because it is very soothing. My drive to work is about 40 minutes and I listen to it on my drive. While there are many reciters I still like this reciter best because of his clear pronunciation. You can almost learn the suras from listening to him.
