America is organic. It is not simply some people coming in and demanding things  be done their way. The founding fathers ensured that rules guide not the will of a despot. They made sure there is deep traditions grounded in law as to how things should work.

I shudder when I hear people talking about "founding fathers" like they were gods.  These fathers would hardly recognize the world as it is today.  Their electorial system to choose a President shows what a dumb system they left for the US.

According to Kellyanne Conway, Romney and his team were way out there in the Never Trump movement.  Romney did not deserve a position.  Furthermore, they really don't agree on positions!

Just like what Granger did to Moses. The only difference is that Moses is now Grangers yard dog.

Indeed they would hardly recognize t he world in which their creation operate. They did do a good job. It is not that unexpected given the ideas they wrote about were as old as philosophy and they were learned men. In Philosophy and unlike as in science, the questions never change and the answers to these questions concerns views of eternal propositions...justice, equality, truth....

The electoral college system as designed by Hamilton was his way for ensuring confidence in the newly formed federal system.  It may have outlived its function since the US is no longer 13 colonies and is instead some 50 states. If the senate is co equal to the presidency then the senators there are enough to assure confidence in the system. There is a need to go to proportional representation or some weighted multi vote system. That however is for the present generation to solve.

Actually, I don't think so.  I believe Trump campaign surrogates and family were not happy so to bridge the gap, he requested an apology.  I still don't know how he would have fit in as him and Trump have very different views on key issues!

Romney knew he was not being considered after the dinner. Look at his body language. Trump took the right approach with Romney. Romney sidekick Paul Ryan and Ted Cruz should face the Ax also. These people are enemies and they are barefaced enough to now want jobs.

We are going to get the last laugh on this crooked fellow. The CIA is certain the Russians set out to help him. Lets hope none in his camp knew of the hack before hand. It is what god Nixon in trouble....breaking in to the Democratic head quarters.

What will eventually come out will not be helpful to him. It will show he was simply an opportunistic, empty fellow aiming to capture the Presidency for his and his friends. He is already turning the place into what we laugh of other places where dictator and petty princes and princlets follow their father around as his advisor and pillaging the state or using it to enrich themselves. Saddam did it, Qaddafi did it, Suharto did it.
