SOMALIA: Death toll increases following deadly bombing on a popular hotel in Mogadisghu
Scores have died in deadly explosion on popular hotel in Somali capital, Mogadishu, RBC Reports.
At least twenty people including government officials have been confirmed dead in heavy suicide attack on Jaziira Hotel, dignitaries frequented hotel along airport road in Mogadishu’s heart.
A truck laden with explosives under suicide bomber’s control had hit the hotel, causing mass casualties and destruction of the hotel’s building.
This hotel is frequented by key government figures as well as international community representatives in Mogadishu, Somalia’s war-torn capital city.
The ruthless bombing that left dozens dead and scores other injured by the Al-qaida linked militants counts the third as the hotel witness same attack twice before.
Since Al-shabab militants were driven out of the slowly recovering Somalia capital, the terrorist network have plotted numerous gorilla-tactic attacks, targeting areas frequented Somali federal government attacks.
