Some advice for Kwame
Dear Editor,
Please grant me space in your letter Colum to reply to the article written by Mr Kwame McCoy under the Caption ( Mayor Green Used a Funeral Service for his own political Objections ) in your newspaper dated Friday, October 4, 2013
I invite you the people of this nation to read into the article and see what rubbish he wrote therein.
“Hamilton Green misused a funeral service for his own political objections in the process he sought to mislead mourners on the vending situation in Georgetown under his stewardship it was quietly disgusting and inappropriate.
He went on to say that the deceased was not a politician or had no interest in politics even though she played a role in addressing issues in the area in which she vend.”
Now which brings me to another funeral service of our most and beloved politician Brother R.D. Persaud our beloved Pandit who all of his life spoke of love and prayed for unity in this nation. He was a politician and not a racist.
Yet at his funeral service the mourners were given a sermon which spat racism that Indians in Guyana were marginalized. That sermon was given by a high ranking official of the Peoples Progressive Party. It was most disgusting, inappropriate and unbecoming.
As for you my friend, Kwame, make friends not enemies; take an old man’s advice.
