For those who either were not around, cannot remember, deliberately do not want to remember or just want to rewrite history.
Major general Joe Singh (Retd) Special Assistant to President Ramotar (according to the media) and Norman McLean closely aligned to Ramotar and a confidant of Gerry Gouveia who is a staunch supporter of Ramotar were chief architects and enforcers of President Burnham’s military enterprise.
The PPP and President Ramotar have been telling the world that President Burnham was not good for Guyana but at the same time Ramotrar has surrounded himself with some of Burnham’s military architects and enforcers in the likes of Joe Singh, Norman McLean and Gerry Gouveia.
If Burnham is guilty of anything so are they, because Burnham might have been a genius but for sure he could not have been in all places at all times and perpetrated the deeds that he is accused of, but never appeared on the scene. He must have had some help and those who helped should be held accountable.
If they, Joe Singh, Norman McLean, Gerry Gouveia, etc. believed that Forbes Burnham was wrong, why did they not speak out against his action or at the least, resign from their positions. Is it because they were "milking" the system then and continue to do the same now. Where is their sense of patriotism and have they lost their moral compass.
