It is. All Guyanese who are born in territory claimed by Venezuela are citizens of Venezuela by birth and are entitled to Venezuelan papers upon application. The Essequibo is as Venezuelan as Caracas in Venezuelan law. I have a personal friend who was on a trip to Caracas in the 80s and decided to get his Venezuelan passport and other state papers as a lark while there. They did not even care that he spoke not a word of Spanish. And he never had any desire or intention to ever live in Venezuela.
So yes, there are possibly hundreds of thousands of Guyanese who by operation of Venezuelan law are citizens of Venezuela by birth or descent.
Yea Article 10 of the Venezuelan Constitution claims all territory of the "Captaincy-General of Venezuela" as it stood on "April 19, 1810" which includes all the territory in dispute (as in most of Guyana).
Those Commie Clowns like Jay Bharrat should apply for citizenship in Venezuela. That way they can go back to the ole days of wiping with leaves.
The Venezuelan gov. a few years ago when Chavez was still around began issuing Cedulas ( ID cards) to Guyanese born in Essequibo. This was mostly issued to illegal Guyanese resident in Puerto Ordaz/ San Felix area. I believe this has since stopped. Many children there are in limbo having neither Guyanese nor Venezuelan birth certificates.
