I think it has to do with the dire situations Guyana is in economically and politically. According to Baseman we are on the threshold of a civil war that will make the sixties look like a picnic in the park. I hope he is wrong.

He is wrong. Tell him I said so. He got himself entangled with habits to make poor judgements.

He reads what you write. Now, you tell us why you think it's not going to be so.  Don't give us all those BS for reasons.  Give a good and solid reasons.

A civil war never happened in Guyana and it will never happen in the future. It's just a war of words. Just to entertain the idea if a civil war broke out, you will see Indians as non-resistance of the Gandhi era to even call it a civil war.

It may not be a civil war but it would be more than just a war of words. Our politics degenerate into violence time after time. With the coalition government desperately in corner worried that they cannot win a free election and huge wealth on the horizon from oil they are going to go to great lengths to retain power. Don't not be misled into believing we are dealing peaceful and tolerant people such as Granger. Don't be fooled by his religious garb in a Hindu Temple. It's just a ploy to fool us.

Racial conflicts has been increasing every year. Guyana was close to a civil war in 1997- something I witnessed.

Indian businesses were burned, loot and Indian girls clothing were torn off on Regent street GT.

Plaisance residence were invading Better Hope, when the residents of BH arm themselves and drove them back.

Buxton residence were already in Annandale, when TSU race down from GT stop them at Courbane Park/ Annandale Public Rd and fired tear gas to disperse the crowd. Later that night, the soldiers were brought out, marching through the streets of Annandale, Vigilance and Strasphey including the outskirts of Enterprise.. it was like a curfew.

The Soldiers has to guard EC road on both side to allow residence to go home, while the Buxtonian were stopping every vehicle demanding money to pass thru Buxton public Rd.

Of course it will devastating, Agricola Village on the East Bank has rise up and is considered worsted than Buxton.

Also the new housing schemes and most villages are mixed. Anyway me thinks the people are smarter and wouldn't head down that road.

Not defending no party, it's facts. The demographics of Guyana have changed from 1992.There were skulduggery in the past elections. I can bet,  Dave as an insider can attest, but he may not. Today got some info on FB regarding the padded list, which is plausible.

Recently, I posted how the demographics has change. I have also said PPP on their own cannot win the election. The smaller parties hold the balance of power.

Overseas base Guyanese visiting Guyana has to travel into the villages to see the new housing schemes built by PPP ... that’s when they will be convinced of the amount of inter marriages of all races and the people are living happily..

Recently, a cousin visit Guyana and went to the Enmore park  for transportation home, he was lead to a bus will all blacks.. he insisted “ I am going to Enmore “ them banna tell he, get yo coolie rass inside, is Enmore we’re going, we gon play collie music fo yo”

the bus took him inside Enmore to the new scheme.

Coming back to Election, back in the days in the evening, PPP party members and supporters were out visiting every home when election is mentioned. Not a single PPP members visiting these homes now, but WPA members are out canvassing. And BJ speaking of election by September 18.

PPP party supporters are disappointed with BJ selection and the side line of suitable party members.. I think they are not motivated.

Just take a look at all the social events, how many PPP CC members are there .. non  except BJ and Irfan.

I like BJ, never mind I had my own personal run in with him.

Well people like you are taking us there.  Keep on pouring fuel on the people of Guyana, while enjoying your life in a wealthy and peaceful country thousands of miles away.

Surely not knowing what you talking about, with respect to my views.

Listen banna, no one is "hoping" for that!  Stop acting like some lil kid!  External forces are much more interested in what goes on in Guyana, more than before.  The nation is being hallowed out of whatever little substance it has.  Fomenting dissent which then cascades out of control is not a far-fetched scenario. Guyana is becoming a tinder box!

Ayuh keep it up...dem a watch we!

You people too myopic and self indulgent.  Do you think it’s all about Coolie and Blackman?  Guyana is becoming a regional tinderbox.

If the Coalition insist on H2H and the PPP does not agree and does not recognize the election results, then what?  It’s absolute chaos. If the coalition gives in and hold elections and looses, its absolute chaos.

I see big trouble ahead which could trigger a regional crisis!  I would also not rule out an externally instigated internal rebellion!

Granger met with GECOM Chair to consult on its readiness for elections. Apparently, he was disappointed and hoped to appeal the CCJ's decision to meet the September 18th deadline. What I am is not important. Let look at things in a positive way even as it seems uncertain. Granger is not Saddam Hussain or Idi Amin to put Guyana in bloodshed and chaos.

Imagine how things would have been different had the Coalition done the right thing from the beginning. They would have had the Charrandas and Ali effect on their side and had they gone on to win the elections they would have had a true mandate. Instead, because of all their shenanigans and illegal posturing no matter the outcome, there will be chaos and the PNC would be totally at blame for it.

Banna, you don’t know the plans they had in place if they had lost in 2015.

I doubt Granger will have control of the chaos!  This is not all about Granger or Coolie and Blackman!

I don’t see this being resolved easily. Only one scenario I see an acceptable outcome to both. If the elections are held without H2H and the coalition wins.  Then the PPP have to accept. Other than that, one or the other will not accept the outcome!

What happens if after September BJ calls for de-recognition of the Govt and several LATAM nations, including Venezuela, follows suit?
