A packed house is anticipated to converge at the National Gymnasium to witness the commencement of the round robin phase of the inaugural Street Vybz Entertainment Futsal Competition which resumes tonight with eight exciting matches. Among the big matchups scheduled are Sparta Boss versus the African Connection and this encounter should give the former supporters a clear view as to whether they have returned to the form of old. Sparta looked impressive in their win against Channel 9 Warriors, but the same could be said for the African Connection unit that beat pre-tournament favourites Ol Skool Ballers in their opening encounter. So it seems an equal matchup to bring the curtains down tonight. However, that game is not the only one expected to provide fireworks and riveting entertainment for the fans. The West Front Road ‘Gold is Money’ skirmish with Albouystown ‘A’ is a sure bet to keep their respective supporters on the edge of their seats. These two teams have massive following and it could come down to which of the two fan bases is more vocal in their support. MBK All Stars and Leopold Street game is another one anticipated to provide end to end action with the former already proving that they are an offensive juggernaut, while Leopold Street is of similar breed so fans should see a glut of goals. Linden teams have made a strong statement, winning all three of their opening encounters, but obviously the competition has progressed and teams are now positioning themselves to enter the knockout segment so every game is vitally important. They enter the fray with Swag Entertainment taking on Broad Street in the first game of the night to usher in what will definitely be a scorching night of action. Silver Bullets then take on North Ruimveldt and the form that the latter has shown in recent tournaments means that the Bullets will have to be of a high caliber to breach the fortified bunker of their opponent. Regarded as the best team in the Mining Community, Dave & Celena All Stars tackle a strong New Market Street side and this is no easy opposition for the visitors so another humdinger is in the making. Hustlers versus Future Stars and Back Circle and Tucville clash complete a night of sheer entertainment. Over $1.2 million in prize monies up for grabs with the winner to receive $700,000, 2nd, 3rd and 4th placed finishers $250,000, $150,000 and $100,000 respectively. Play starts at 19:30hrs. The night’s fixtures are seen below: Broad Street vs Swag Entertainment MBK All Stars vs. Leopold Street North Ruimveldt vs. Silver Bullets Dave & Celena All Stars vs. New Market Street West Front Road ‘Gold is Money’ vs. Albouystown ‘A’ Hustlers vs. Future Stars Back Circle vs. Tucville Sparta Boss vs. African Connection
