What are some of the things you remember doing in Guyana on Sundays besides riding bicycle and whistling girls?

Went to Nazarene Church; came come and picked flowers to decorate the house; did homework; ironed my siblings clothes that I hand-washed the day before and hung on the fence to dry in the sun; listened Ishri Singh's radio program and enjoyed his melodious wedding songs; admired the wedding processions nearby; admired the handsome young men in their freshly starched white cricket outfits playing cricket in the village ballfield nearby; Mom dictated and I wrote letters to my big sis in NYC; and awaiting our sponsorship date to migrate to NYC. Boy, I was busy.
