PARAMARIBO - Representatives of the National Archives of Suriname and India today signed a cooperation agreement. Herein include the exchange of documents and knowledge included.
The archives of India has a training center where people can schools to include archivist. This may soon Suriname free. Except for the exchange of knowledge, training and documentation, the stores can also be used for genealogical research.
Acting Deputy Director of the Ministry of Interior, Earl Tokarijo, said in his speech that the cooperation policy of the government shows. With all countries with which Suriname has a historical connection, agreements will be signed.
In 2008 Suriname already signed a cooperation agreement with Indonesia. Agreements with the National Archives of Ghana are in preparation
