Surujbally, Media Monitoring Unit head at odds over report

NewGuyMedia was reliably informed that there is a major disagreement between Guyana Election Commission (GECOM) Chairman Steve Surujbally the body’s Media Monitoring Unit (MMU) head Lavern Pinto over the contents of report on the conduct of the media and public officials.It appears the report did not have the Chairman’s blessing and it was felt that it was hurriedly prepared and released to the media. At least four persons close to GECOM reported an altercation between the two heads over the report when it was alleged that the Chairman confronted Pinto.
