Watching those images of little children being hosed down reminds us of how cruel the world we live in is. Governments are supposed to provide safety and security to its citizens. Yet we see so many cases where governments claiming their commitment to the safety and wellbeing of their citizens become the perpetrators of these horrendous acts. Very disgusting.

This is extremely sad.

It is highly doubtful that it is false news.

In all news reporting, whether on the TV, newsprint, etc., one needs to be cognizant about the time, date, etc., of the reports.

I am not saying it is "false news"

there are unverified reports (from the usual anti-Assad/pro ISIS outlets) of a chemical attack by the Syrian army in Douma which simple logic tells you makes no bloody sense

Jaish al Islam, hunkered down in Douma, just negotiated safe passage out of there within the last 24 hours

think!!

Washington (CNN) Republican Sen. John McCain said Sunday that President Donald Trump's comments that the US military would leave Syria "very soon" had emboldened Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad, resulting in the reported chemical weapons attack Saturday that killed dozens of the country's civilians.

Trump may reconsider and launch another 60 cruise missiles on Assad.

The issue is Bashar was working with North Korea to get nuclear weapons while smiling with the Americans and talking sweet things. Israel caught him and told the Americans. The Americans want his regime to go but people like Trump are cautious. Trump knows the possible negative outcomes of removing the Assad regime.

I never see a president like Bashar Al Assad who would prefer to see his entire country torn to pieces and millions of his people are killed and displaced but refused to step down. Doesn't he has enough money to retire himself and his family and let the people breathe easier? He is risking war by pulling many countries in the region in conflicts.

And that is what concerns me more. Leaders who behave like they will be around forever doesn’t even take the necessary steps to develop others who will be ready to take over when they begin to loose their effectiveness. This leaves a vacuum that ends up in the way things ended up in many parts of the Middle East as well as other countries. Perhaps even the PPP although theirs isn’t as bad as what happens in some of these countries.
