As we know by now, there were primary elections in Virginia yesterday.

The Republican congressional representative Eric Cantor was expected to win handsomely.

He lost to a little known Tea Party favorite, David Brat.

This Brat spent less than $200,000 on his election campaign.

Mr Cantor spent $5.2 million.

I think there is a lesson here, which should give the AFC hope in upcoming elections in Guyana.

It's a foregone conclusion that the PPP has a hefty war chest. That Brat's upset win should make the PPP planners pause and reflect.

1. The issues between Eric Cantor of the Republican Party and David Brat of the Tea Party are quite different from the political issues in Guyana.

2. The issues between the Republicans and the Tea Party are simply the candidates and not allegiance to the Republican Party and its objectives.

3. The issues are localized and the Tea Party members are not being elected in all political regions to replace the Republican candidates.

How is the AFC connects with the people in Guyana when so many members cut and run over to the PNC? How will they explain the Agricola riot to their constituents? How will they justify their association with Mark Benschop who was fueling the riot at Linden? You guys have a lot to do!
