Well, PNC claimed that the turnout at LGE was also low ! Their support base was not motivated to vote as a result of hapless PNC administration and them breaking election promises.
PPP won an overwhelming majority at LGE.

Guyana next !

Rigged.

hey...whatever means necessary...isn't that Malcomn X said

It's a pity you are happy at the thought that rigging is necessary for Guyana while you sit at your desk in America brutalizing Trump for TRYING to solicit foreign help to win his next election. Hypocrisy shows its colors here. Carry on Malcom X Jr.

If they win in a free and unadulterated election.

Indications are that the PNCR, at best, may pass lots of wind.

Get back to us when you find out whether the PNM lost any municipalities.  Its interesting that it was a Guyanese paper that posted this.  I bet the T&T people will know that this is a LOCAL election NOT a national one so all that matters is did the UNC take away any municipalities from the PNM.

In fact the PNM won more seats than did the UNC.  Its seats that matter.  Not the national vote.  If the UNC won with an outsized victory in some seat(s) but not in others, with the PNM winning more seats overall then its a PNM win.

This is like the Democrats screaming that they won the national vote when Trump won in the electoral college, where victory actually counts.

And I will add for the PNM to win more seats after T&T has been in a slump for many years, this due to difficulties (outside of their control) in the petrochemical sector, doesn't reflect well on the UNC.  By now Trinis should have been totally frustrated with the PNM and moved over to the UNC, especially as the lines of tribalism in T&T aren't as high as it is in Guyana.
