Team India Might Pull Out Of Champions Trophy As ICC Looks To Reduce BCCI's Share In Resources

Looking forward to watching Virat Kohli's boys defend the title at the ICC Champions Trophy in June? Well, it might not happen.
The BCCI is considering pulling Team India out of the tournament after the ICC's new constitution aims to reduce India’s share in resources. The world's richest cricket board is not going to take this lying down.
This news arrived in the wake of a two-hour long Special General Meeting which made the BCCI representatives furious.
The BCCI has threatened to not let India take part unless the 'Big Three' proposal is not met.
“BCCI reserves its rights to take all necessary decisions to exercise the rights under the Members Participation Agreement (MPA)” an anonymous source of the BCCI stated.
The ‘Big Three’ states excess power to the three major cricketing nations- Australia, England and India. It also ensures a considerable amount of share in global revenues and facilitates them to have a larger role in administrative decisions.
Well one hopes the conflict is resolved, after all imagine how disappointed fans would be if the defending champions did not take part in the competition. India won the last edition in 2013.
