The Essequibo Coast-based Abram Zuil Secondary School, Essequibo has copped the top spot in the recently held Sagicor Visionaries Challenge Regional Competition in Tampa, Florida, the Ministry of Education announced.
The Ministry in a statement said, the national winners of the Sagicor Visionaries Challenge won the Regional first place with its Rice Husk Particle Board Project. The Guyana delegation led by Athina Indar and the supervising teacher, Jerome Rajpersaud, went on an all expense paid, 7-day STEM Ambassador Programme from July 12 to 18.
The Rice Husk Particle Board Project illustrated how the rice husk particle board can be used as a low cost, durable building material, while reducing the carbon dioxide emissions that result from the burning of the rice husk, an agricultural waste product. Globally, there are several uses for rice husk, however, the project team decided to focus on its use for the manufacture of rice husk particle board as a substitute for wood. Wood is commercially used in the construction industry, which has resulted in deforestation in many parts of the world.
Funny.
Funny.
the murder-endorsing klown finds something else "funny"
uh huh
A girl in India has been awarded some sort of international prize for using rice husk to turn into boards from which houses etc can be built. It did cross my mind when reading that article that such a project would be good in Guyana. I'll try to find the original article on the internet.

Well, they put the economy deep-South in 3 months and think they produce smart kids in the same time frame.
They need to market that system, it's worth more than oil and gold combined.
That Abram Zuil Secondary School in Essequibo has been producing some top-class students.

Now, here is objectivity for you, in less than three months, the PNC transformed the system to the best. PNC need to patent that system and market it the world. It's probably the best intellectual property around today. Why they frowning over oil and rice.
The bad things that happen in 3 months (loss of 30% rice market, downturn in economy, Venez disaster, job losses, spiraling crime) all occurred under this Govt, i.e. since May 2015. That is a FACT.
