Mike Persaud is a decent Guyanese-American whose heart is into making Guyana a better place.
To disparage Granger's presence in Richmond Hill and to speak ill of Mike Persaud is the work of those who do not seek harmony in Guyana.
Granger is the leader of an opposition party in Guyana and Richmond Hill is a town in the city of New York. That's it. I would attend that meeting and urge all to attend.

I made a comment on the thread and said that America is a free country and any political leader can come to any place at anytime and assemble. I asked who is Mike Persaud because I didn't know him before I pulled up his profile. I supported you that he is a good man with good intentions.

Mike Persaud is well-intentioned and gives a lot of his time to seek a better way for Guyanese. He is earnest and passionate about this calling. I know him and only wish I had more time to give to his endeavors. He's a good family man too and lives a good life.
I have to be in Richmond Hill on Saturday to attend a reception honouring a friend who recently graduated with his Phd in engineering...if I have the time will pass by the restaurant to listen to what the opposition leader has to say....
Mike Persaud has been active in various activities within the Guyanese community...I remember him on the picket lines protesting in front of the UN and other venues whenever the PNC leaders or ministers were in town....this was prior to 1992 so he may not be deemed a " johnny come lately "...his wife is a relative of former president Jagdeo.....
Mike was never a member of our PPP group but was very supportive of the effort for free and fair elections.....

Mr Granger is the leader of the opposition of 52% of Guyanese people. So it is good he go to Queens. Kudo to Mr Persaud for pulling this together. Mr Fredrick Kissoon wrote recent that if not for this constitution of Mr Burnham Mr Granger would be President and Mr Ramjattan PM. Mr Moses Nagamootoo will be PM come 2016.

The NY State Supreme Court confirmed a finding by the court's disciplinary committee that Colin was guilty of 11 violations of the Code of Professional Responsibility.
This was at the behest of DA Charles Hynes after Colin had filed a civil lawsuit on behalf of a woman who was assaulted in the infamous Korean grocery case. Hynes went after Colin by saying that he neglected cases, failed to return unearned fees and lied to a client on the status of a legal matter.
Colin was never indicted and spent his years following that decision by teaching at the City University New York, Brooklyn College and became a Clergy.

I don't know if you now this but it turned out that the kids were framed, and some one else confessed and DNA tests show him to be a match. A HISPANIC!!!!
