Will the PPP and their supporters accept an APNU/AFC victory?

Regardless as to which side wins the days after the election will be very tense.  The PPP is desperate as this is the first election since 1992 which they might lose.  Similarly PNC supporters are quite pumped up for the same reasons as they long to see the end of the PPP.

Let us hope that the election is handled professionally with a minimum of glitches and that results are made available by early morning on the 12th in a manner which all sides can agree is fair.

Whomever wins I think it has already been a victory for Gy and the opposition. They have at least created the perception of a new beginning by showing that the races can come together moving forward - thanks to  Granger

Correction.  Granger, Nagamootoo, and the full range of Guyanese who are part of this movement.  All of those who overcame petty intra party jealousies and inter party distrust.

We hope that Guyana will move from the personality cult, to institution building.
