This is the time when every criminal, especially the gun-toting crowd, attempts to prey on people going about their holiday shopping. The police are on the streets but they cannot be everywhere. The result is that people will be mugged, but in most cases the perpetrators are going to be caught. Two of them would nurse gunshot wounds for trying to rob people. At the same time a public-spirited citizen would come to the rescue of an out-of-town businessman with spectacular results.

One would expect that people would be extra careful on the roads this time, but that is not going to be the case, as another fatality would be recorded. A car trying to overtake without due care and caution would hit the pedal cyclist.

An unattended kitchen would lead to a fire that would destroy a home west of the city. The season would see people trying to do spring cleaning. That is going to lead to the unattended stove.
