The British Parliament, in a non-binding vote today, rejected military intervention in the country of Syria by a vote of 285 to 272 in the House of Commons. British Prime Minister David Cameron’s statement to the House was that "I strongly believe in the need for a tough response to the use of chemical weapons."

The reference was for the Aug. 21 chemical gas attack that killed 355 Syrians in a suburb of the Syrian capital known as Ghouta, according to Doctors Without Borders.

The vote rejecting "war," can be blamed on George W. Bush, former President of the United States.

The British Parliament is jaded by the lies told to it in 2003 by the Bush Administration who claimed that Iraq had Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD). Then British Prime Minister Tony Blair vigorously defended the Bush Administration intelligence about the WMDs in Iraq, however, the WMDs were never found in Iraq. George W. Bush's, as well as Tony Blair's reputations were sullied.

The impact was felt tonight. Despite a last-minute plea from Prime Minister David Cameron that this is "not Iraq, we are not putting boots on the ground and we are not invading and above all this is not George W. Bush, it's Obama."
