the ministry is in the hands of a recycled failure so history repeats. It matters not how much money is thrown at a thing it will remain stagnated. The PPP is of a habit to measure "progress" by how much money they spend but real managers know it is not the amount of money but the prudent  allocation and management of it that is the key

way above the average public servants,they all starving on the ppp salary,why you think teachers is migrating to the rest of the Caribbean,i personally know teachers that leave the profession to do carpentry and gold mining

Conscience, I have doubts. Generally, the emigration rate of professionals is accelerating. Just 3 or 4 years ago, it was reported that 80 percent of UG graduates were fleeing Guyana.

Yes, I know the PPP government has consistently allocated a big slice of the budget to education. But, what has been the result?

Unimpressive passes at the CXC exams or whatever it's called now, poorly constructed schools at very high cost, spiraling delinquency rates, high suicide rates among teenagers,etc.

Clearly, the PPP budgetary allocations for education have not generated confidence in the education system.
