The end of a long and torturous US Presidential Election campaign is almost over. The hate and racism spewed during this campaign on US Election trail is heartbreaking. Donald Trump has succeeded in dividing the people of the United States of America, but more importantly for me, he has further divided the Guyanese Community on this M/B, in Guyana, USA, Canada and around the world .

The American people were mainly divided racially. However, the Guyanese community has been divided both racially and religiously. Specific posters on this MB idolize Donald Trump; not because of his policies (because has none) but because they concur with his ambition to ban Muslims from the USA and his racists tendencies against Blacks. At least one other Caribbean M/B mentioned this shameful religious division among Indo-Guyanese.

The hate I see perpetrated on this board is understandable when it emanates from ignorant posters whose mentality are stuck in uncivilized times. However, the bitterness and hatred expressed by some posters who seem academically inclined, is appalling to say the least. I guess most of you would not post such hate if you did not enjoy anonymity behind the screen of your computers.

The indo-Guyanese in the USA should be reminded that if the calls by some Trump supporters for a revolution ever materialize, you will be shocked to find out which section of the racial spectrum you will be thrown into.

There is nothing to worry about.  Hillary and her left wing group Common Cause are providing door to door car service for the Muslim community to get to the polling station to vote tomorrow.

"Common Cause New York is also partnering with The Black Car Assistance Corporation (BCAC), which is providing free and safe transportation on Election Day to poll monitors and members of the Muslim community.  The cars will be available in and around several neighborhoods with large Muslim populations, including Bay Ridge, Kensington and Astoria. A majority of the BCAC's membership is Muslim."
