The Guyana Passport office is the WORST in 2024. Guyanese waste hours every day waiting to process their passport applications. The facilities at the passport office are inconvenient and inhospitable. The waiting room does not use modern crowd management methods or tools. The washrooms at the passport office are filthy and hazardous for the hundreds of people who need to use them daily. When public facilities and systems don't function properly, people rely on corruption and bribery. Many Guyanese believe that it is the worst passport office and government service in the country.

This service needs to be decentralized and perhaps subcontract it out to the Chinese , Indians & Nigerians.
