Does anyone know if there is chronic kidney disease among cane harvesters in Guyana? I know there is among rice farmers in Sri Lanka. There it has been suggested that the cause is the use of pesticides. This documentary seems to suggest that the cause is dehydration. If that is the case can't the problem be solved by frequent water breaks?
