Ok folks

During my recent trip to NYC for a funeral, I asked (mostly) Indo Guyanese how they feel about the PNC and their bid for political office.

Over 90 percent expressed their mistrust of the PNC and still see the PNC as an Afro based party. With Over 95 Percent Afros voting for the PNC. Many expressed shock that the party most feared by Indos will even attempt to bid for the Presidency has failed to apologize for their past sins.

What came as a shock when a vast majority expressed complete disgust at Moses and Ramjattan for attempting to merge with the PNC without what they see as a fair and reasonable representation for Indos who still make up the single largest block of voters.

A majority expressed the opinion that the PPP will the Presidency.

This is mood of most Guyanese. The PNC is still not trusted and it is about trust and the economy.

With the AFC losing support in Berbice and hoping to win support is not enough  to win an election. The PNC is good for 40 Percent, the AFC can only deliver five percent or less.

You do the math.

The PPP will soon start a massive campaign across Guyana. Indos will never accept a PNC that has refused to accept their wrongdoings and refused to apologize for their sins.

The PPP is headed for a 53 Percent majority like it or not.

With every passing day the following observation becomes more apt in describing the PPP's electoral chances: "Boat done gane ah falls."

I think the only thing that can save the PPP now is a little bottom house poll site rigging. But I suspect they doan know how to rig properly. If you gonna rig you have to believably rig. You can't rig an election in which almost everyone agrees you lost it. You have to at least go through the trouble of creating a close race so that the rigging will seem lil believable/plausible.

so if 90% of Indos support PPP in your close circle, then 10% support the other side (even though you tell them is PNC)

That means the 51% already supporting AFC/APNU + the 10% from your sample equal 61%

Granger...next President of Guyana!

Pandit,

I hate to be the bearer of bad news chap but it seems as though there are enough Indians who for very disjointed reasons hate the PPP and feel the Coalition can't do much worse.

I understand that no one wants to reward the PNC's previous bad behavior but we have no choice. And we have no choice precisely because the PPP has put us in this situation.

Indians (99 percenters) have nothing to gain from the PPP. It is actually the 99 percenters that are being bled to support the PPP's 1 percent. And that 1 percent have no concept of doing anything for Indian people or anyone else for that matter.

So we have to face reality bai. The reality is that Indian interests lies almost everywhere but Freedom House.

Perhaps they don't armchair as articulately as we do on GNI. However, the "massive" crowds the PPP has been drawing lately on the campaign trail tells us that the Indians get it. They don't see the PPP as being in their interests. Either personally or as an ethnic group. The PPP is not viewed by Indians as a real "coolie party." If the PPP was viewed as a real "coolie party" then Indians would be massively out to support them. But they ain't so we don't.

Shaitaan Bhai

I have to respectfully disagree.

The PNC is good for 40 percent and the AFC is good for five.

The AFC cannot deliver. They can do a Dog and Pony show and that's all for them.

This election is about race. The PNC is attracting 95 Percent Afro voters.

Is this about the PPP winning or about what's good for Indian people? Because they are not the same thing.

Help the working poor to understand that the PPP sold them out in favor of their rich parasitic, bourgeois contractor friends. The business class gives money to the PPP; the poor people have no money to give so they are not important.

At election time, the PPP comes around to the working poor and tell them to keep the PNC out, that the PNC is bad.

So our job is to educate the working poor that the PPP is a different party from the Jaganite PPP and that the PNC of today is different from the PNC of the dead Burnham.

The election is about race, Indians are less than 50%, so using your hysterical screams, the PPP loses.

No party in Guyana can win an election based on race.

Then why are 95 percent Afros voting PNC ? That is quite racist.

Do you expect blacks to vote for the KKK?  So why should they vote for the Indo KKK.

Here is what the PNC did that the PPP refuses to do.  They let in Nagamootoo and have given him 40% of cabinet.

What African entity has the PPP ever conceded any power?

Do you expect Indos to vote for an oppressive and racist PNC party that oppressed them for 28 years with rigging and frigging by two Afro dictators Burnham and Hoyte and helped by Granger who has blood on his hands ?

Sorry to break it to you, but people have short memories.

The PPP is oppressing black people in 2015 so this is fresh on their brains.

Burnham died 30 years ago.  The average voter is around 32, so they don't even know who Burnham is, much less care what he did.

So sorry, if the PPP thinks that Burnham is a candidate in this election, they made a HUGE mistake.

BTW they called Hoyte "Desi Persaud".  Your attempts to paint him as an Indian hating dictator look quite ridiculous.
