President urges parents to play greater role in children’s education –as ‘Because We Care’ initiative goes to Mabaruma

PRESIDENT Donald Ramotar told a huge gathering of Region One residents yesterday that the ‘Because We Care’ initiative is yet another intervention by the Administration to take some pressure off parents with school age children. He, however, called on parents to play their part in ensuring that their children receive an education, adding that while the Government continues to consistently make resources available, it is the duty of a parent to ensure that their child attends school regularly.

The opposition loyalists want to play down this idea as a PPP gimmicks. Mr. Granger said he would like to see government provide free transportation for school children in rural areas, and I fully agree with him 100%. Anything that would ease the burden and encourage children to pursue their education is an investment in our country's future.

Priya is slimming down and she is looking much younger. Our president need to buy some new sets of clothing since he lost weight. They both look very attractive among the happy children of Mabaruma.
