I believe in a strong competent PPP/C not in the individual leaders of the PPP/C.

Don't think that legions of PPP/C supporters in any way are happy with having had to support Guyana's incompetent criminals because we were unsure of the PNC and the AFC's ability to handle the PNC in Government and not be bullied.

I want the PPP/C leadership to resign so the party can start anew.

Shaitaan analyzing Region 4 I suspect that up to FIFTY % of the Indian vote shifted to APNU AFC.  It is ironic that this group, probably the biggest beneficiaries of the current economy, dumped the PPP.

APNU AFC actually lost some ground in Berbice as their higher votes were offset by higher PPP votes as well.

The PPP will have to change its whole modus.  The whole notion that ethnic groups are monolithic has been torn to shreds.  APNU AFC came to power with a combination the African/mixed AND the "urban" Indian vote.  The PPP held their own in the deep rural areas as well as in the interior.

APNU AFC will have much work to do to convince the rural and interior population that they are on their side.  They will also have to focus on the urban poor in Linden and G/town, who turned out in huge numbers, and who clearly expect the new gov't will help them improve their lives.

You just arrived on this site chap. There is nothing contradictory about supporting the PPP and wanting to discard the leadership of the party that bought us to this disaster. When Manning lost in TnT, PNM supporters who voted for him forced him from the leadership because he was a failure.

I've been here cussing the PPP and supporting the Opposition since 2000. And in this election I reluctantly switched sides. I still maintain I did the right thing based on my assessment of the PNC and the AFC. Now the Coalition must prove 49% of the country that they're wrong.

Are you an imbecile or just schupid?

I support the party. The leadership failed because they lost. We all know why they lost. Now that they lost, they will have to resign.

This is how political parties work in the aftermath of a loss moron. You lose the election so you must resign because you were obviously wrong as the people voted against you.

Are you some kinda neophyte or another Moses Cultist in the offing?

Shaitaan, I dont see it as RIGHT or WRONG, people like I mentioned many, many times here do VOTE for a Party they FEEL will BETTER deliver Services for them. It looks like a very close Election and that says that whoever wins has a lot of work to do.

All of those who backed the corrupt PPP suddenly think they were holding back Guyana and should be removed...it was a racial thing all the while for those now feeling the pain.

How interesting that you've wandered onto a public online forum to ask long time posters who've been here for over a decade to "shut up"

Chris Shaitaan is a complex person and clearly not in the Nehru category.

At once an Indo supremacist and an advocate for multi ethnic identities. Similarly pro PPP because he judges the PNC based on its past, but highly dismissive of and disrespectful to the PPP.

Shaitaan has meandered from supporting the PPP, in a rage against Moses "selling out", to endorsing the coalition, because the PPP was inept and incompetent, to going back to the PPP when he fell prey to their bleats that the tribe must circle the wagons against "black man" rule.

And here is the reality.  Most intelligent people are complex and cannot be reduced to a simplistic for or against model.  I am worried by those whose fervor for a political a party is so intense that they tolerate no criticism of it. I am also worried by those who uncritically support a political party.

So I don't have a problem with Shaitaan.

Read my thread where I excoriate the PPP during the campaign for their stupidity.

I read the riot Act to Former President Ramotar in person in formal briefing. And then I came on GNI and summarized the meting contemporaneously for the public without mentioning names.
