Murder accused walks out of Magistrate’s Court a free man

A Soesdyke, East Bank Demerara man who was charged with murder was released from jail after the murder charge against him was thrown out of the Magistrate’s Court, following eight months of Preliminary of Inquiry.

Twenty – Nine – year old, Raymond Tyson who was charged with the murder of Khemraj Singh was discharged by Magistrate Judy Latchman today.

Tyson made his first court appearance on December 9 where he was not required to pleaded to the indictable offence of  murder, which alleged that between May 27 and 28 last year he murdered a sawmill supervisor Khemraj Singh at Land of Canaan, East Bank of Demerara.

During Tyson’s first appearance in court, he was refused bail by Chief Magistrate Priya Beharry.

Tyson was arrested and charged with the offence because he was seen with a blackberry cell phone which belongs to the dead man.

Attorney at law Kendaise Rodney represented the Raymond Tyson. The Magistrate ruled that there was not enough evidence for a High Court trial.
